A typical first session consists of a thorough postural and gait evaluation.
This evaluation process, developed by Paul St John, allows the therapist to locate the source of the pain symptom.
Once the evaluation is complete, the therapist will take the time to explain the findings and what to expect in the way of treatment.
Treatment starts immediately with manual therapy designed to release tension in the muscles found to be hypertonic (tight); We will may also highly recommend a personalised stretching and exercise program to be done between treatments with our corrective exercise specialist.
Our goal is not only to eliminate pain, but to educate the patient in ways to prevent recurrence of the injury.
